25-year-old woman dies by suicide after photos leaked

New Delhi: A 25-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide in west Delhi’s Nihal Vihar after claiming in a note that her morphed photographs had been leaked by a friend.Police received a call regarding the incident around 2.15 pm. The woman was found hanging inside a friend’s room and was rushed to Balaji Hospital, where doctors declared her dead. A postmortem conducted at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital later confirmed the cause of death as ante-mortem hanging. Police said they were verifying the allegations mentioned in the note.A case of abetment to suicide under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered.
