2 minor boys rob man to fund lavish birthday bash in Delhi, CCTV cracks case

NEW DELHI: Two juveniles were apprehended for violently robbing a man in southwest Delhi’s Dabri to fund their luxury hotel birthday celebration.

The suspects, aged 17 and 16, assaulted the victim while he was walking his dog, stole his mobile phone, and fled the scene on a scooty.

Following the incident, a case was registered, and cops launched an investigation. They reviewed CCTV footage from the area and tracked the suspects' movements, which eventually led to their arrest on February 3.

During questioning, the juveniles confessed to planning the robbery after facing financial difficulties. They intended to celebrate a friend's birthday at a luxury hotel but devised the plan to rob someone for money.

The duo, along with two other accomplices, targeted Nitin, assaulted him, and stole his mobile phone when they found no cash on him.

Efforts are still underway to arrest the remaining suspects involved in the robbery.
