NEW DELHI: Two men riding a motorcycle lost their lives when a tree collapsed on them in the vicinity of Delhi's Hiranki on Thursday, as reported by the police.
The police stated that the tragic incident occurred while the two men were traveling on their two-wheeled vehicle.
The identities of the two individuals who lost their lives have been confirmed by authorities. The deceased have been identified as Pushpender, 23, a resident of Keshav Nagar, Delhi and Vijay, 24, a resident of Bagh Azadpur, Delhi, stated the police report.
Upon receiving notification of the tragic incident, Police and forest officials promptly arrived at the location to assess the situation and take necessary action.
Pushpender was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders, while Vijay succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a nearby medical facility, according to the police statement.
The lifeless remains of the two individuals were transported to BJRM Hospital, where they would be kept in a preserved state.
