NEW DELHI: Two drug smugglers were arrested on Wednesday night and 750 grammes of heroin were recovered from their possession. Police said the two accused, identified as Nurul Sheikh (32) and Mohammad Hussain (28), both natives of West Bengal, were nabbed from Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar.
During interrogation, the accused said they had come to Delhi in search of job, police said.
"Sheikh fell in bad company and soon started supplying drugs in Delhi. He was earlier arrested under the NDPS Act, but after his release from jail, he again took to supplying drugs. He also introduced Mohammad Hussain into the illegal activity," said Sanjay Tyagi, additional deputy commissioner of police (crime).
