NEW DELHI: A 19-year-old woman has alleged that she was molested by a builder and his friends in Outer Delhi's Bhalswa area on Friday. Later, locals damaged the builder's office and property. Police said action is being taken regarding both the incidents.
Upon receiving a complaint about the woman's molestation, police reached the spot to find that the injured were taken to BJRM Hospital for medical examination. The victim's medical report was collected the hospital, but an injured person's statement could not be recorded due to severe pain in her leg, police said.
The complainant said when she was crossing the builder's office, he and his two friends allegedly tore her clothes, and her mother and uncle were attacked. After the incident, around 100-150 people damaged glass of office gate, table glass, LED screen and DVR of the builder's shop. The owner of the office space was taken to the hospital.
