FARIDABAD: Naval Kishore Sharma, a resident of Sanjay Colony,
Faridabad, had never thought of getting his 10-year-old son back when he got missing five years ago. But it was a miracle for him and his family when his son Gulshan came back on Thursday.
Gulshan told TOI that he had taken a bidi from a local shop without paying the price. Afraid of being complained of to his parents he ran away from home and reached Delhi.
Finding him roaming on the streets, Delhi Police arrested him and lodged him in a children’s home at Alipore.
From there he was shifted to another child home at Patna in Bihar. It was only a few days aho that Pankaj Kumar from NGO Balsakha traced his roots and accompanied him to the Mujesar Police Station, where the missing report of Gulshan was registered.
Now 15, Gulshan has been handed over to the family, informed station house officer Inspector Gajendra Kumar. Gulshan, youngest of three brothers and a sister, has studied only till Class III. The family’s joy knew no bounds on his return.
