NEW DELHI: A man died and four were injured after the autorickshaw in which they were travelling was hit by a truck in northwest Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar on Wednesday. So far, no one has been arrested.
The deceased was identified as
Aadarsh, a native of Madhya Pradesh, who worked as a labourer. Four of his friends - Anuj, Arvind Sharma, Brijesh Sharma, and Sumit Sharma - were injured and are receiving treatment.
According to police, they got a PCR call at 3.12 am on Wednesday, stating that a truck loaded with iron rods hit an autorickshaw near GTB Nagar police station. "During inquiry, we found that five men were returning home from the construction site in GT Karnal Road, when the accident took place," an officer said. The accused fled the spot. A case was registered at Mukherjee Nagar police station.
