Woman, daughter die by suicide in Haridwar

Haridwar: A 50-year-old woman and her daughter allegedly died by suicide on Wednesday morning in Gandikhata village under Shyampur police station.Station house officer Nitesh Sharma said, "The incident took place around 9am when victim Vimla devi's husband and son went out for work. Her daughter-in-law had gone to drop her son at school, and when she returned, neither Vimla nor her daughter,20 Kajal opened the door. She then peeked through the window and found them hanging, and raised an alarm."We have not found any suicide note so far. According to family members, Kajal had a chronic illness and had been on medication for a long time. She and her mother mostly kept to themselves and rarely left the house.
