Woman booked for killing husband

Dehradun: A

woman

, along with three of her family members, has been booked for allegedly killing her husband.

The victim's sister, Champa Devi, lodged an FIR against the woman, identified as Monika Singh, and her brothers for allegedly killing Ajay Singh, who was a farmer.

Champa Devi alleged that Monika plotted the murder to get a chunk of land transferred in her name. Her family members are learnt to have helped her execute the plan.

Talking to TOI, investigation officer Girish Negi said a case under section 302 of Indian Penal Code had been registered.

The deceased’s family told police that Ajay owned a piece of land, which could have led to his killing.

Police said there were no injury marks on the body and that the viscera had been preserved for further investigation. TNN
