RUDRAPUR: A bus whose interiors have been remodelled as a computer lab will go around US Nagar district, imparting digital education to primary and higher secondary students.
The bus, donated by SRF foundation as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR), was flagged off by DM Yugal Kishor Pant on Tuesday. It can accommodate up to 30 students and will have two computer instructors. Group D workers and study material for students have also been arranged. Authorities claim it is the first-of-its-kind initiative in the district.
"The bus has detachable seats, shelves and storage. It has 20 computers. The buses will be parked in open spaces and parks, to help students learn in the open, in a stress-free environment," SDM Pratyush Singh said,
