Dehradun: In a major shake-up, the state government reshuffled portfolios of 11 IPS officers in the state on Wednesday night. DIG PAC Sanjay Gunjyal and DIG Garhwal Amit Sinha were among the 11 high-profile officers transferred.
Gunjyal has been appointed the new DIG of Garhwal region, while GS Martolia, who won accolades for efforts in the rescue and rehabilitation operations post the mid-June calamity last year, has been made DIG of Kumaon range.
Gunjyal was also holding charge as DIG Special Mining Vigilance Force and several cases of illegal mining were exposed during his tenure. He took charge as DIG Garhwal on Thursday morning.
Amit Sinha, who was DIG Garhwal has been appointed as DIG PAC, while Amit Ram Chauhan DIG Kumaon is new DIG CID.
Sweety Agarwal has been shifted from the post of Commandant 31 PAC as SSP Haridwar. Nilesh Anand Bharne, who was holding charge of assistant inspector general - provisioning and modernisation has been named SSP of Udham Singh Nagar district.
SSP Haridwar, Sadanand Date is new AIG P/M and Riddhim Aggarwal who was SSP Udham Singh Nagar is now Commandant 31 PAC.
SP Amlora, Ashok Kumar Bhatt has been made SP personnel, Karan Singh Nagniyal has been shifted from Champavat to Almora in the capacity of SP. Daleep Singh Kunwar, who was SP (R) Dehradun has been made SP Champavat.
