Constable’s body fished out of Ganga river in Haridwar

Haridwar: The body of a police constable, posted in the local intelligence unit (LIU) department in Haridwar, was retrieved from the Ganga river on Tuesday.
Trepan Singh, 45, had gone to bathe in the river at Bairagi Camp on Monday, where he drowned. Kankhal SHO Manoj Nautiyal told TOI, "We received information on Monday evening and launched a search operation. We also called divers from SDRF and retrieved his body from the Dhalwala region on Tuesday morning. The body has been sent to the civil hospital for an autopsy. Further investigation is on in the matter."
