“I am surprised Congress wants to build a Muslim University here (in Uttarakhand). People would have been happy if they talked of developing Char Dham,” he said. Lauding the work done in the hill state on the four Char Dham shrines, he targeted Congress for “ignoring Hindus”.

“Uttarakhand is integral to national security. The leaderless and directionless Congress wants to pierce the bastion of national security. Without a leader, the party is orphaned and cannot take the state on the path of progress,” he added. Yogi said if Congress came to power, "criminals chased away from UP would take refuge in the hill state." “Bulldozers of UP are equipped with artificial intelligence and it automatically tracks down mafias. Uttarakhand borders UP and there is a possibility that mafias who escape UP take refuge here. A BJP government here will ensure such miscreants do not disturb the peace-loving people here,” he added.
