THDCIL marks 36th foundation day in Rishikesh

DEHRADUN: Tehri Hydro Development Corporation India Limited (THDCIL) celebrated its 36th foundation day at its corporate office in Rishikesh on Wednesday.

Chairman and managing director (CMD), RK Vishnoi, addressed a gathering of the organisation’s employees and their family members at an event held in Rishikesh.

During the occasion, Vishnoi emphasised on "the role of THDCIL in the country’s power sector and acknowledged the hard work and dedication of its employees in its current success.”

Vishnoi later also felicitated former CMD ML Gupta “for his contribution towards THDCIL’s success.”

THDCIL has a collective capacity of 1587MW. It has its biggest plants in Uttarakhand, including the one in Tehri with an installed capacity of 1000MW and the other one in Koteshwar with a capacity of 400MW. Apart from this, it has two wind power projects in Gujarat- Patan, 50MW and Dwarka, 63MW. It has one hydropower project in Jhansi, 24MW and one solar power project in Kasargod, Kerala, 50MW.
