Swami Ram Govind Das marries off 111 girls, CM Pushkar Dhami attends event

A prominent Indian saint Swami Ram Govind Das organised grand charitable weddings of 111 underprivileged girls in Haldwani, Uttarakhand in November. Chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami also praised his mass kanyadan and took blessings from Swami ji. The 111 girls traveled from various parts of the country to take part in this event, while people who attended the wedding gifted them sewing machines and other everyday household things.

Swami Ram Govind Das is a head of the global spiritual organisation Hari Sharranam Jun from Haldwani, Uttarakhand and he recently organised the charitable grand marriages of over 100 underprivileged girls in Haldwani which was the very first in the history of state. Over the years, he has been a part of various events and campaigns, including, anti-drug campaigning, anti-female foeticide awareness, women empowering programs and providing education to poor children.
