State to crack whip on Benami properties
Dehradun: The president of Uttarakhand State Planning Commission, justice (retd) Rajesh Tandon on Monday stressed on cracking the whip on benami property dealings, especially land sales, using the attorney system.
In a meeting Tandon held, he directed other state departments to formalize a detailed roadmap for tackling the menace of benami properties in the state. With the finance department, he discussed the amendment in the 2016 Act, which deals with benami properties in the state.
