After paying floral tributes to the slain former deputy prime minister of India, a pledge-taking ceremony was organized in the premises. Sudhanshu Garg, RTO Dehradun, administered the unity pledge in front of the office staff.

Sandeep Saini, assistant regional transport officer (ARTO) administration and Arvind Pandey, assistant regional transport officer (ARTO) enforcement were also present during the ceremony.

“Everyone took the pledge to maintain the unity and integrity of the country. The whole staff of RTO was present and took part in the National Unity Day program,” said RTO Sudhanshu Garg.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day was introduced by the Government of India in 2014 with the aim of celebrating this event every year on October 31. The aim of introducing this event is to pay tribute to the country’s first home minister.
