Rs 1,192 crore approved under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan

DEHRADUN: Around Rs 1,192 crore for various activities under

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan

(

SSA

) in 2018-19, Rs 211 crore for

Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan

(RMSA) and Rs 199 crore for mid-day meal has been approved under the annual work plan in a meeting convened at the secretariat by the chief secretary

Utpal Kumar Singh

on Wednesday.

Taking further steps to spread education, from these proposed funds, two hostels with a capacity of 50 students each, two hostels with capacity of 100 each, transportation facility for girl students, reimbursement under the right to education, special training for school dropouts, free textbooks, two sets of uniform, teaching equipment, academic support, computer education, innovation and other activities related to education will be undertaken.
