Rajpur Nature Festival ends with musical high

Dehradun: The eighth edition of the two-day annual Rajpur Nature Festival, organised by the Rajpur Community Initiative at MDDA Park, concluded on Sunday with energetic performances.
The organisers said the festival provides a platform for young entrepreneurs and local artists to exhibit their talents in the community.
Launched in 2014, the latest edition of the festival showcased a variety of products, including locally-made kitchen utensils, spices, teas, millet-based food items, handicrafts, handlooms, fragrances, pottery, upcycled bottles, and jewellery.
Several rural-based and women-run groups from Dehradun presented their products, while social organisations raised awareness on plastic use and responsible waste management. Sunday's lineup included a play addressing gender issues, several music and cultural performances by the local Tibetan community, retro songs, Bharatnatyam and Kathak performances, and an energetic drum circle performance by local musicians.
