DEHRADUN: Dehradun police on Monday, claimed to have busted a prostitution racket being run in a resort located in city's Sahaspur area and arrested three persons. According to police, the action followed a raid conducted by the joint team of anti-human trafficking unit, anti-drug task force and local Sahaspur police late on Sunday around 1.30am.

Daleep Singh Kunwar, SSP, Dehradun said, "During the raid, police found 15 women in the rooms of the resort with objectionable material. On being questioned, they told police that they were a group of dancers and were brought to the resort from Chandigarh by an accused named Sanjay. Apart from dancing before the guests, Sanjay would also force them to indulge in prostitution with them."

"Based on their questioning, police arrested the receptionist of the resort, Deepak Singh, 26, a resident of Sahaspur, Hemant Singh, 38, a resident of Haryana, who was caught there with 573gm hashish and Rahul, 24, a resident of Chandigarh, who had brought the women in his vehicle. Accused Sanjay and resort manager Amit Garg, managed to escape from the spot along with a few other men. A search is on to nab them," said Kunwar.
