HARIDWAR: Around 100 unidentified people -- suspected to be supporters of poll candidates -- were booked on Tuesday for creating ruckus at the polling booth falling in the Ramdham Colony of

's Ranipur constituency.

The miscreants alleged that bogus

voting

was going on at the polling station.

Police

are investigating the matter.

No arrest has been made so far.

police station, told TOI, “It all started after the presiding officer did not give Form 16 to the booth agent of political parties. Subsequently, supporters of candidates reached the polling station and a mob tried to enter the polling station and broke the two outer gates. However, we managed to pacify the situation. A case has been registered against 100 unknown persons for rioting and obstructing the work of government officers on duty.”
