Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Mukhwa temple, the winter abode of Goddess Ganga in Uttarkashi, where priests chanted Vedic hymns as he offered prayers.

The Prime Minister flagged off a trek and bike rally and also delivered a public address in Harshil to promote tourism and connectivity.

His visit follows the approval of two major ropeway projects worth over Rs 6,000 crore for Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib to enhance accessibility.
