DEHRADUN: Timely intervention by the SDRF team ensured the rescue of a paraglider, who fell in Tehri lake, during a training session. On Thursday, Rishi, a 26-year-old paraglider hailing from Nainital, was undergoing a training session in the area.
During the training session, the paraglider took off from Pratapnagar and was heading towards Koti Colony with the help of a parachute. In the mid of the session, the paraglider lost balance and fell into Tehri Lake near Koti Colony in Tehri district of Uttarakhand.
According to SDRF, a team headed by Chief Constable Rakesh Rawat, immediately set off for the rescue using a motorboat.
Using a motorboat the SDRF team reached Rishi without delay and safely rescued him by bringing him onto the boat and the lake. With high number of tourists coming to the area, a SDRF team is station near the lake for the rescue efforts.
