Officials inspect Winterline Carnival venues

MUSSOORIE: In the run-up to the Mussoorie Winterline Carnival to be held towards the end of the month, Dehradun district magistrate, sub divisional magistrate Mussoorie and state tourism officials inspected major sites for the carnival and held meetings in the hill town on Saturday.
The carnival is named after the Winterline, a unique meteorological phenomena, which sees an imaginary horizon appear in the middle of October which usually lasts till January.The Winterline is said to be visible in Burn in Switzerland and Mussoorie in Uttarakhand.
District magistrate S A Murugesan said that this year the focus will be on talent from Uttarakhand. Another meeting is scheduled to be held on December 5th to finalize the performances and programme schedule.
