Man’s body found near Rawasan river in Haridwar

Haridwar: A 30-year-old man's body was found near the Rawasan river in Shyampur area of Haridwar district on Sunday morning. Initial investigations revealed that he was killed by strangulation while police are trying to ascertain his identity.Shyampur SHO Nitesh Sharma told TOI, "Locals informed the police about the body. His face was hit by a blunt object several times indicating that the murderer tried to conceal the victim's identity. His body was dumped in an isolated place near the river. The body has been sent to district hospital for postmortem."
