Man writes Gayatri mantra 7L times, creates record

A 64-year-old retired officer of Gujarat irrigation department, Mangaldas Ishwardas Kadia, created a record of writing down the “Gayatri mantra” the most number of times, according to the All world Gayatri Pariwar (AWGP), whose headquarter Shantikunj is situated in Haridwar. AWGP officials said that Kadia, a member of the organisation, had written the chant 772008 times. He wrote the

every day since 2013. He was awarded a medal for the feat by Bharvi Patel, a member of World Records India, in Gujarat. A resident of Modasa town of Aravalli district in Gujarat, Kadia had joined Shantikunj in 1978.
