Man dies while fleeing cops

Rudrapur: A man from Khatima fell from the fourth-floor building while attempting to escape the Special Task Force (STF) during a police raid on Tuesday. The deceased, identified as Aman Sharma (24), was a wanted man, with a Rs 25,000 reward for his arrest. Sharma, wanted under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code, fell while trying to descend using a pipeline.
Sharma's family has accused STF of “negligence”.However, Rudrapur SHO Vikram Rathore denied the allegations and said that it was an accident. "Sharma slipped off the pipe of the high-rise building and died while he was evading arrest," he said. TNN
