MUSSOORIE: Incessant overnight rainfall of 130 mm led to three big landslides on Dehradun-Mussoorie road on Wednesday blocking traffic for over four hours.
Traffic was disrupted on the busy road and several tourists as well as local residents who commute for work daily were stranded for hours till debris were cleared and the road was finally re-opened around 10.30 am.
Several other landslides were also witnessed in Mussoorie. In one incident, 18 families from Nepali Colony near King Craig were relocated by Mussoorie SDM after a landslide.
Meanwhile, Mussoorie-Kempty-Nainbagh Highway 707 remained blocked for close to 10 hours following a massive landslide triggered by rain.
