Organised by the Japan International Co-operation Centre (JICE), the BA, third year students of Japanese Language Department, Doon University,— Aanchal Chhetri, Rohit Payal and Jasmine Kaur have been selected for participating in this week long program to be held from November 15 to November 22. It is learnt that these students will be under the supervision of Ravi Kumar, assistant professor (Japanese language) at the Doon University.

According to Ravi Kumar, supervisor of the program, “This program will foster mutual trust and understanding between the two countries. It will also be an enjoyable learning experience for the students. The exchange program consists of lectures, courtesy calls to Japanese government, school/ university exchange, sight-seeing, home stay with Japanese family and many other workshops.”

One of the selected candidates, Aanchal Chhetri said, “It is a great opportunity to get firsthand in depth knowledge of Japanese language and culture.” While, Rohit Payal is super excited for the home-stay part of the program and is looking forward to experiencing a new world in Japan.

The third selected candidate, Jasmine Kaur wants to explore all the new aspects of Japanese culture and make a lot of friends there, under this, "once in a lifetime opportunity” during the exchange program.
