Gadarpur bypass death: Congress files complaint against Arvind Pandey

RUDRAPUR: The Congress Gadarpur town unit on Wednesday lodged a complaint against local BJP legislator Arvind Pandey, days after a 28-year-old man was run over by a truck on an under-construction bypass "forcibly" opened by the former minister.Congress Gadarpur unit president Siddharth Bhusri, who lodged the complaint, said: "I went on hunger strike three times recently to demand that the bypass be opened, but I never used force. It is time for the BJP government to take action against Pandey.""Those in power have the guts to open an incomplete bypass forcibly despite knowing the consequences. A young man lost his life because an MLA sought to take credit for opening the bypass," Bhusri said.Gadarpur SHO Rajesh Pandey said: "Appropriate action will be taken once we finish the investigation."
