BY- MS NawazHARIDWAR: A case has been registered against former vice-chancellor of Uttarakhand Sanskrit University Sudha Rani Pandey on Friday after the varsity alleged that she misused her position to recruit 12 ineligible candidates as lecturers in 2010.
After two inquiries into the teacher’s appointments by former chief secretary R S Tolia and former Garhwal division commissioner N S Napalchyal, governor K K Paul had ordered action against the teachers.
At the behest of V-C Piyoosh Dixit, a complaint has been filed against the former V-C.
“We have received an application to lodge an FIR from vice-chancellor Piyoosh Dixit and a case has been registered against Sudha Rani under section 420 (cheating) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal code,” said Manohar Bhandari, SHO Bhadrabad police station.
