on Friday after the varsity alleged that she misused her position to recruit 12 ineligible candidates as lecturers in 2010.

After two inquiries into the teacher’s appointments by former chief secretary R S Tolia and former Garhwal division commissioner N S Napalchyal, governor

had ordered action against the teachers.

At the behest of V-C

Piyoosh Dixit

, a complaint has been filed against the former V-C.

“We have received an application to lodge an FIR from vice-chancellor Piyoosh Dixit and a case has been registered against Sudha Rani under section 420 (cheating) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal code,” said Manohar Bhandari, SHO Bhadrabad police station.
