Forest panel to inspect private estates in Mussoorie

and climate change organized a deliberation on the issue of guidelines under Forest Conservation Act (FCA) 1980 for diversion of private notified land for construction of residential buildings in

Mussoorie

.


The subcommittee took suggestions and feedback from various stakeholders in the hill town. The panel will also

inspect

several private forest estates following which they will submit a report to GoI.

Kehkashan Naseem, DFO, Mussoorie said that as owners are not allowed to build residential properties in private notified forest areas, several acres are lying vacant.
