Dharampur has most voters, Purola least

DEHRADUN: Out of the 70 assembly constituencies of Uttarakhand, the Dharampur seat in

Dehradun

district has the highest number of 2.06 lakh voters. On the other hand, Purola constituency of Uttarkashi district has the minimum of 74,295 voters.

According to the data provided by the Election Commission, Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar district has 1.91 lakh voters, which includes 131 service voters. Raipur in Dehradun has 1.77 lakh voters, followed by Kashipur which has 1.75 lakh voters. Meanwhile, with 1.71 lakh voters, Sahaspur in Dehradun is also among the constituencies with a higher number of electorates.

However, there are 24 assembly constituencies of Uttarakhand that have less than 1 lakh voters. Besides Purola, the two other constituencies of Uttarkashi district – Yamunotri and Gangotri – too have less than 1 lakh voters. While Yamunotri has 76,741 voters, the number of voters in Gangotri are 87,779. Kedarnath seat, which was won by Manoj Rawat of Congress, has 92,880 voters, including 3,207 service voters. Badrinath constituency of Chamoli district has 1.04 lakh voters, including the service voters.

Ranikhet, which is represented by the deputy leader of opposition Karan Mahra, has 80,571 voters and Someshwar has 88,250 voters.
