4 booked for making fraudulent property docus of Kabul House

Dehradun: Dehradun police on Wednesday filed a case against four individuals on charges of cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy. The allegations involve the creation of fake property documents and grabbing land within the historic Kabul House premises, a sprawling 19-bigha property situated on a prime EC Road in Dehradun.
The case was registered against Bhagwati Prasad Uniyal, Shahid, Khalid and Mohammad Arif Khan in Dalanwala police station under sections 419 (cheating by personation), 420 (cheating), 467 (forging a document which purports to be a valuable security or a will), 468 (forgery), 471 (using fraudulent document as genuine) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the India Penal Code (IPC).
“Shahid, Khalid, Arif Khan, Bhagwati Prasad Uniyal, and others, in a coordinated conspiracy, unlawfully took possession of custodian/government property using forged documents. In collusion, they registered their inheritance in the revenue records by falsely presenting Arif Khan as the son and heir of Abdul Razzaq,” the police said.
Earlier this month, following a 40-year-long legal battle, the district administration successfully removed the 17 families residing within the premises. Recognised as “enemy property,” the historic residence of the former Amir of Kabul is valued at over Rs 400 crore.
