Debt-ridden eatery owner kills self
DEHRADUN: A debt-ridden eatery owner allegedly committed suicide in his native village of Timli in Rudraprayag district. Om Prakash Bhatt, 22, ran an eatery in Srinagar.
Sources said that he had taken a loan of Rs 55,000 from a cooperative committee in 2017 and was unable to repay. He reportedly took some poisonous substance while on way to his residence. He was taken to the district hospital for treatment.
Bhatt had also borrowed money from his friends for construction of a house.
