Haridwar: On the second day of the ongoing international conference over “Modernisation of Traditional Indian Medicine” in Haridwar-based Patanjali University, yoga guru Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna addressed the gathering. Talking about Indian medicinal plants, Ramdev said, “Nature dictates our culture, prosperity and health. Today, crores of households use medicinal plants like tulsi, aloe vera and giloy.
Acharya Balkrishna has played a significant role in popularising these plants, which have been hailed for their medicinal properties in our ancient texts.”
Meanwhile, Acharya Balkrishna, president of Patanjali Anusandhan Sansthan and Patanjali University, said, “Patanjali has contributed immensely to the field of Ayurveda. Our research has increased the acceptance of Ayurvedic medicines in the world.”
