Couple killed, their 2 kids critically injured as two cars collide head-on

Rudrapur: A couple was killed and their two children were grievously injured after a speeding car collided head-on with their vehicle near the Teesri Mill area on Nagla Road under the Kichha police jurisdiction area in Udham Singh Nagar. The driver of the car also sustained injuries.The accident took place when the family was driving to Bareilly to attend a function on Monday afternoon. The victims have been identifiedas Amit Saxena (42), and his wife Deepti, (40) -- residents of Jawahar Nagar in Nagla. The bodies have been sent for postmortem. Meanwhile, the two kids -- Saarthak and Jaahnvi -- and the car of the driver, Rajiv Das from Bareilly, are being treated at the Rudrapur district hospital.
