Dehradun: Ahead of India’s 75th Independence Day, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday visited border villages along the Indo-China border in Chamoli and participated in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, launched as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by the central government.
CM Dhami also met the jawans of Indo-Tibetan Border Force (ITBP) and Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB) at Malari village. The CM and the jawans exchanged Independence Day wishes. Residents of border villages like Kailashpur, Mahargaon, Kosha, Dronagiri, Niti, Bampa, Gamshali, Farkia, Jhelam, Kaga, Garpak and Malari also participated in the programme.
The chief minister said that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has become a people's campaign and we are fortunate to witness this.
“As we celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Uttarakhand is also moving towards achieving new heights of development and the state government is determined to make Uttarakhand an ideal state by 2025, when the Himalyan state completes 25 years of its creation,” added Dhami.
