Uttarakhand: Champawat district Jim Corbett trail to come up soon

DEHRADUN: After chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami won the by-poll from Champawat assembly constituency, chief secretary SS Sandhu on Thursday reviewed the ongoing and proposed projects for Champawat district. In a major move, Sandhu has directed DFO to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Jim Corbett Trail in the district and hand over the report to the government.
Besides, the CS also took stock of the progress of the announcement made by CM Dhami for the district. He directed the authorities concerned to ensure that all projects were completed within the stipulated time span. For the projects related to the Public Works Department, Sandhu asked the departmental officials to speed up the work related to phases one and two.
To bring Champawat on the tourist map, he directed authorities to appoint a consultant to prepare the master plan. Besides, he told religious affairs department officials to prepare a detailed plan to develop a Poornagiri Temple-Devidhura Temple-Golju Temple Corridor. tnn
