Bus carrying 53 passengers stuck in river, all rescued
A bus carrying 53 passengers got stranded in the Kotawala river in Haridwar due to rising water levels caused by heavy rains. The passengers, who were all laborers aged between 20 and 45, were rescued by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). The bus had taken the river route as heavy vehicles were not allowed to use the bridge.

Heavy machinery was used to extricate the bus from the strong currents of the Kotawali river. Despite challenging circumstances caused by recent rains, the rescue mission was successful. The passengers were unharmed.
