’s bid to host dinner for several leaders of the saffron party, including newly elected mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, has sparked speculations that the former CM is currying favour with politicians ahead of the general elections in 2019. A party insider told TOI that rumours are rife in the BJP camp that Bahuguna is eyeing a seat in Garhwal division, where the party is scouting for a fresh face to fight elections.Lok Sabha
