Nainital: Bagh Express connecting Howrah Junction in West Bengal to Kathgodam in Uttarakhand will remain suspended for four days on and from January 13 to January 16 owing to ongoing construction work on the tracks between Bareilly and Haldwani.
“Pasengers from Uttarakhand and Bareilly will not be able to use the Bagh Express which travels to Kahthgodam via Bareilly, for at least four days.
The route will be opened after January 16,” said Sudir Agarwal, divisional railway manager, Moradabad division of Indian Railways.
More than 1,000 passengers use this train regularly to commute to Kathgodam and neighbouring areas from places in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh as well as locations in Uttarakhand.
Works to upgrade the signal network on the Bareilly-Haldwani line required that trains plying on the route be diverted or stalled temporarily.
