At Hathibarkala, a representative from the CM office, Inderjeet Singh, met with the protesting workers and assured them of the government's support. They are demanding a monthly salary of Rs 18,000 until they are recognized. Public library to be converted into anganwadi
The public library in Amraiwadi, Ahmedabad, is being shut down due to harassment from local hooligans. The library building, constructed in 2017, will be converted into an anganwadi. The decision was made following a complaint from the chief librarian of MJ Library about the continual harassment faced by the librarian in Amraiwadi. The library had to be reconstructed after being demolished for metro rail corridor construction. The proposal to convert the building into an anganwadi will be presented in a meeting on Thursday.
