Ahead of monsoon, Rs 5 crore disaster fund for each district

The state government will provide a sum of Rs 5 crore each to all 13 districts in the state to meet monsoon induced disasters. An order in this regard was issued by the chief minister during a meeting of the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority (USDMA) at the state secretariat on Friday

DEHRADUN: The state government will provide a sum of Rs 5 crore each to all 13 districts in the state to meet monsoon induced disasters. An order in this regard was issued by the chief minister during a meeting of the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority (USDMA) at the state secretariat on Friday.
CM Trivendra Rawat said that members of Mahila Mangal Dal and Yuvak Mangal Dal who have already undergone disaster management training should be retrained so the response during a disaster is improved.

Director general of police (DGP) Anil Raturi informed USDMA that State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel have been stationed in 50 police stations in the state.
