Admin allows Prem Nagar residents to remove encroachments
Dehradun: The district administration on Sunday granted relief to the residents of Prem Nagar allowing them to demolish their establishments on their own. This comes after some residents argued that the markings done at their homes were very small and the marked portions can be demolished by themselves.
“They have already demolished almost 90% of the market and the remaining structures have very small markings and those can be demolished by us.

Officials said that they have “agreed to the residents’ demands. “We will be conducting checks in this regard in a couple of days,” said SDM Pratyush Singh.
Meanwhile, the Prem Nagar Cantonment Board on Sunday issued a public notification saying that in order to rebuild or repair the damaged structures, traders and residents will have to take their permission.
