: The body of a 67-year-old man, identified as
Madan Lal Bahuguna
, was found under mysterious circumstances near the petrol pump at the Shyampur railway crossing in
Rishikesh. The victim was a resident of Ward Number 14, Gumaniwala, Rishikesh. The police have sent the body for postmortem to ascertain the exact cause of his death. Bahuguna's family was informed of the death. Further probe is underway.
Meanwhile, the Dehradun cyber police claimed to have cracked an online fraud case on Tuesday. The police said that the robbed amount was returned to the victim.
The complainant,
Dharamveer Singh
, was robbed of Rs 50,000 by a gang of online hackers earlier this month. The Dehradun resident then approached the cyber police with a complaint. Singh has also written a thank you note to police for swift action.
