43 PCS officers transferred

Dehradun: In a major reshuffle ahead of Lok Sabha polls, the Uttarakhand government transferred 43 Provincial Civil Services (PCS) officers on Monday.

Roorkee municipal commissioner Ashok Kumar Pandey was transferred to the state public service commission as joint secretary, replacing K K Mishra, who was relieved of his charge.

Pravesh Chandra Dandriyal, exam controller at the state public service commission, was appointed general manager of Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) while additional commissioner (commercial tax) Mohammad Nasir was made the new exam controller at the state public service commission.

Deputy collector, Pauri, Mayadatt Joshi was appointed SDM Rudraprayag while Santosh Kumar Pandey, who was serving as SDM Pithoragarh, was appointed deputy collector of Pauri.

SDM Uttarkashi Saurabh Aswal has been made SDM Chamoli, while Yogendra Negi will replace him as new SDM Uttarkashi.
