2 drunk men drown in Ganga

HARIDWAR

: Two local residents have drowned after they went to Jagjeetpur ghat in an inebriated state to take a bath in the Ganga. The duo have been identified as Rahul Kumar, a resident of

Kankhal

and Deepak Singh, a resident of Nirmala Chawani. On Thursday, Rahul’s body was recovered by police and sent for autopsy.

said, “Deepak and Rahul drowned in the Ganga on Wednesday. After their parents approached us, we launched a search operation and found their motorbike and clothes from the banks of Ganga.”
