13-year-old girl raped in Haridwar, another minor in Champawat

ROORKEE: A

13-year-old girl

was allegedly

raped

by a boy from her village near Piran Kaliyar

in Haridwar

district. The 18-year-old accused, a student of class XI, allegedly gave her sedatives before raping her on Saturday. Police have registered a case against the accused under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the POCSO Act. The accused is absconding.


Meanwhile,

another minor

was abducted and allegedly raped

in Champawat

district. Police have arrested two people after the brother of the 15-year-old girl filed a complaint at Lohaghat police station on Sunday, said Manish Khatri, SHO, Lohaghat.

A case has also been lodged against four men in Lohaghat after another minor complained that they had molested her and attempted to rape her.
